Graduation profile

Read and technically use connectivity and network projects, considering plans or diagrams of a local area network (LAN), based on TCP/IP and OSI models.

Install and configure operating systems on personal computers in order to incorporate them into a LAN network, complying with established quality and security standards.

Install and maintain structured cabling, including fiber optics, used in the construction of networks, based on the corresponding technical specifications.

Perform connection and signal tests on equipment and networks, optimizing network performance and using instruments for measuring and certifying signal quality, considering technical specifications.

Apply computer security methods to mitigate threats in a LAN network, applying techniques such as traffic filtering, access control lists or others.

Apply failure recovery procedures and make backup copies of servers, maintaining the integrity of the information.

Install and configure a wireless network according to established technologies and protocols.

Apply software tools that allow obtaining intranet and internet services in an efficient manner.

Maintain and update the hardware of personal and communication computers, based on a work schedule, according to the technical specifications of the equipment.

Maintain updated productivity software and utility programs on a personal computer, according to user requirements.

Assemble and configure a personal computer, based on installation manuals, using the appropriate tools and respecting the established safety standards.
