Graduation profile

  • Read and use technical specifications, drawings elaborated with computational tools, analog and digital instrument readings and symbology, related to the work to be performed.

  • Perform measurements and verification controls of different magnitudes for the execution of manufacturing, maintenance and repair works of pieces and parts of mechanical and electromechanical assemblies.

  • Join and repair elements through cutting and welding activities in flat, horizontal and vertical position, with oxygen and manual arc equipment, TIG and MIG welding, using tools, machines and personal protection elements appropriately.

  • Perform preventive maintenance of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electric and manual tools, and of tools and components of the Industrial Mechanics specialty, according to maintenance guidelines and manufacturer’s specifications.

  • Perform clamping, polishing and adjustment works, using electric and manual tools, considering safety and environmental protection measures.

Ā 

  • Constantly apply the relevant hygiene, industrial safety and environmental regulations corresponding to the type of work and the productive sector, to prevent risks of accidents, occupational diseases, environmental and equipment damage.

  • Apply the established procedures and national and international manufacturing regulations that correspond to the type of product or work in progress.

  • Manufacture parts and pieces of mechanical assemblies with conventional machine tools, according to the manufacturer’s manual, technical specifications, machining principles, safety and environmental protection standards.

  • Manufacture parts and pieces of mechanical assemblies with universal milling machine according to the manufacturer’s instructions, technical specifications, principles of milling machining, safety and environmental protection standards.

  • Use grinding and drilling machines for the manufacture or repair of parts and pieces of mechanical assemblies, according to the manufacturer’s instructions, technical specifications, machining principles, safety and environmental protection standards.

  • Program and use Computer Numerical Control (CNC) and Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM) machines for the fabrication of parts and pieces of mechanical assemblies, according to established procedures, manufacturer’s indications and technical specifications.

  • Program and use machining centers for the manufacture of parts and parts of mechanical assemblies, according to the manufacturer’s instructions and technical specifications.
